Dylan Denmark's Week 5 Gambling Picks
Here is my picks from last week. I went 3-4 which puts my total at 8-16-2 or 30 percent on the year.
Not off to a great start, but we will go undefeated this week so empty your 401K on these picks.
Ole Miss at Alabama -37
It is hard to believe that in 2016 the main story line going into this game was will Ole Miss beat Alabama three straight times to now this line being 37! But Vegas is and Alabama will win big.
Also, Alabama has beat Ole Miss 66-3 and 62-7 in the last two years so there ya go.
Southern Cal at Washington -10.5
Jacob Eason has played like one of the best quarterbacks in the country completing 73 percent of his throws.
I like Washington to roll in this game even with Southern Cal upsetting Utah last week.
Kentucky at South Carolina -3
This looks like it will be an ugly game so I gotta go with the home team.
This most interesting thing about this series is that South Carolina has not beat Kentucky since 2013. With that being said, Kentucky did not look good last week on the road against Mississippi State going 1-12 on third down and have to take another flight to Columbia.
South Carolina pulls this out in a ugly win.
Clemson -27 at North Carolina
North Carolina started the season 2-0 and is now 2-2 with loses to Wake Forest and Appalachian State and it doesn't get better this week.
Last season, Clemson started slow in their first four games before they beat everyone on their schedule by at least 20 the rest of the season and I think the same happens here.
I don't see North Carolina scoring more than 10 and I definitely see Clemson scoring more than 37. Boom. Clemson cover.
Penn State at Maryland +6
This has the making for a Friday Night special in Maryland. With both teams coming off their bye week, I love Maryland to cover and maybe win this game outright.
Josh Jackson, transfer quarterback from Virginia Tech, has put up a ton of points for Maryland other than in week three where they were upset at Temple.
Also, with Penn State having it's first three games at home, this will be the first big road stage for sophomore quarterback Sean Clifford.
Maryland is going with a black out and class is cancelled so the crowd will be a little more amped up than usual.
Virginia at Notre Dame -12.5
I think everyone was caught by surprise by how well Notre Dame played against Georgia last week. They only scored one touchdown in 55 minutes and still managed to put together a game-winning drive at the end.
Notre Dame continues their success and momentum at home this weekend.
