Dylan Denmark's Gambling Picks Week 3
I've got to admit, I have been off to a terrible 2-10 start, but that's not stopping me from going undefeated so here we go.
All lines from http://www.vegasinsider.com/college-football/odds/las-vegas/
Florida @ Kentucky +8 & Under 49
I think this game will be a low scoring dog fight from beginning to end. Kentucky is starting their backup quarterback Sawyer Smith with Terry Wilson being out for the season and this is a Florida offense that started slow in their first two games. Florida was only able to score 10 points on Miami and 17 on UT Martin at halftime in both games. I like Florida to win in a close one.
FSU @ Virginia -7
Not sure how it gets any better for Willie Taggert and company but Virginia is a very good team that I believe will win the coastal division in the ACC. Not only has Virginia's front seven had 29 hurries and 13 sacks, but FSU left tackle Jauan Williams is out with an ankle sprain. Virginia wins this game by 10.
Stanford @ UCF -7
Stanford's biggest challenge right now is between them and injuries. Stanford is down their starting quarterback and left tackle and lost to USC 45-20 in a game they had the lead 17-3. Also add a west coast team flying east, I'll take UCF comfortably.
Oklahoma -23 @ UCLA
This is a UCLA team that is just not good and honestly UCLA does not have the right quarterback playing for Chip Kelly's offense. Add that with Oklahoma and their offense smells disaster. Oklahoma wins big.
Alabama -25 @ South Carolina
South Carolina can say something that no other SEC team can say, and its they've beaten Alabama the last time they played them which was in 2010. But I got news for ya, there's no sign of Stephen Garcia, Alshon Jeffrey or Steve Spurrier on this South Carolina team. South Carolina has to start freshmen quarterback Ryan Hilinski which is not good when your facing a Nick Saban defense. Bama wins big.
USC @ BYU +4
USC was somehow able to rally from behind and beat Stanford 45-20 and it seems like they have a lot of momentum even after the recent news of JT Daniels being out and AD Lynn Swann resigning. But, I like for them to come back down to Earth this week and this is a trap game for USC because they play Utah the following week. Also, wouldn't be surprised if BYU wins this game.
Ohio State @ Indiana +16.5
This line opened at 14 and has now moved to 16.5. The tricky part about this line is that Ohio State has usually been favored by 28 in recent years, but Indiana has covered 7 of the last 8 times. I like Indiana to cover being at home and this offense if this offense is able to put up points. Indians put up 52 points last week against Eastern Illinois (the most they've put up since 2016) and defensively is much improved under new coordinator Kane Wommack. Ohio State wins but not by 16. Take the points.
